Michael Abitz is a 2x Emmy nominated television editor based in Los Angeles, California. His work spans over a decade in a range of styles such as documentary, competition, reality, and comedy.  With an eye for detail, Michael has a talent for telling stories as truthfully as possible. Some of his most recent work includes the reboot of the popular comedy series The Joe Schmo Show for TBS which was created by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.  Michael's work has been recognized and awarded by various industry bodies. Some of his notable awards and honors include two primetime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Picture Editing For A Structured Reality or Competition Program for his work on the show Top Chef Allstars L.A. and Top Chef Portland. Outside of his work as an editor, Michael is involved with the International Documentary Awards, where he has served as a juror for the Best Editing panel.
